Careers
Not for everyone. That’s the point.
Some airlines hire pilots to fly aircraft. We hire people to solve problems, and the aircraft is how they do it.

What the job is like
One month you may be training crews for surveillance flying in northern Europe. A few weeks later you’re in Central Africa. After that, perhaps several weeks living in a container in the desert, far from the nearest town. Our pilots have flown in Suriname, South Sudan, Burkina Faso, the DR Congo, Denmark, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, often on the same contract as colleagues from six other countries.

“Operation Normal”
That’s what our crews call it when the plan has fallen apart, the weather has turned and the spare part is in the wrong country. They say it with a smile, because it’s usually just another Tuesday. The people who do well here aren’t the ones with the most hours. They’re the ones who stay calm, stop complaining and ask what’s next.
“There is one thing nobody told me before joining ZIMEX: this job becomes addictive.”
And then you go home.
Rotations mean long stretches away, and long stretches at home. Real time off, for family, projects and sleeping in your own bed.
